If you need to change the speakers without dropping the windshield you have to be a contortionist or have no torso including baby hands. I gave up with the speakers they don’t want to go into the mounts because the magnet keeps attaching itself to the tub.

Also fun fact: After 20+ years in the elements the bolts to drop the windshield immediately strip the moment you look at them with a Torx set in hand.

Stooop, you are giving me flashbacks. I did that years ago. What a PITA. The actual torx bit that goes in that bolt is so undersized for how wide the head of the bolt is. Combination of painted and rusted together *shudder*

Yep, I remember that. My passanger side died before I owned it. Decided just to leave it once I found my hands weren’t small enough and I didn’t want to take the dash board off.

I know I changed the speakers on my YJ back in highschool.
I don’t remember how, but I did it.
